Lyulin and Beresnev assessed the work of Sharang enterprises as part of the ZSNO Parliamentary Day.

      On October 16, a Parliamentary Day of the Legislative Assembly of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast took place in the urban-type settlement of Sharanga. The congress was opened by the speaker of the regional parliament, Evgeny Lyulin. A delegation from Kirov Oblast, led by the chairman of the Legislative Assembly Roman Beresnev, became acquainted on site with the specifics of the format.

      The Kirov colleagues attended the event to adopt Nizhny Novgorod’s experience of Parliamentary Days for further application in their own region.

      During the visit the delegation learned about the work of LLC Partner. Since 2000 the company has specialized in the production of children's cribs and dressers with changing tables. According to the company's general director, Vladimir Starikov, all products are made from solid natural wood, which ensures their strength and durability. The company's range currently includes more than 20 varieties of cribs.

      Participants of the Parliamentary Day were also presented with the work of the consumer cooperative "Sharanga Bread Plant," founded in 1961. The head of the enterprise, Olga Lezhnina, said the cooperative's main activities are the production of bakery and confectionery products, as well as non-alcoholic beverages. The range includes more than 100 items, which are updated annually based on customer demand. In the first nine months of this year they produced almost 400 tons of bakery products. The products are supplied not only to organizations in the Sharanga district but also to neighboring Uren, Tonkino and Shakhunya districts, as well as to the Republic of Mari El.

      During the working meeting Evgeny Lyulin and Roman Beresnev discussed support for small businesses at the municipal level, prospects for expanding markets, and how the work of local producers helps develop the entire district.

      "Having inspected the production sites and spoken with their managers, I am convinced that the enterprises of the Sharanga district, even without being large industrial giants, make a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of their territory. They provide employment, produce in-demand goods, invest in development and support the municipality. In addition, today was useful in terms of interregional dialogue — we exchanged valuable experience with our Kirov colleagues in parliamentary work 'on the ground,'" emphasized the speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast Evgeny Lyulin.

      "Such interparliamentary visits are also an opportunity to discuss issues common to the territories," said the speaker of the Kirov Oblast parliament Roman Beresnev.

      "After our colleagues' recent visit to us on the Vyatka, it is especially pleasant to continue the dialogue on Nizhny Novgorod soil. It was useful to see the Parliamentary Day format with our colleagues. In Kirov Oblast we also hold Legislative Assembly Days in the districts. And such an exchange of experience is very important to us. Despite different approaches to organizing events, our tasks with colleagues are the same — to pass laws that influence the development of territories. On such trips deputies see how their decisions are implemented locally and better understand their responsibility to voters," said the chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Kirov Oblast Roman Beresnev following the trip.
