Club "Gorky" dreams of having its own arena in Nizhny Novgorod.

      Sergey Andrievsky, director of the volleyball club "Gorky," at a press conference timed to the start of the new Superleague season, identified the key goal of cooperation between the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the All‑Russian Volleyball Federation — the creation of a dedicated volleyball arena.

      A meeting between club representatives and the leadership of the All‑Russian Volleyball Federation recently took place. Andrievsky reported that the parties expressed mutual interest in further cooperation and are already discussing the possibility of signing an official agreement.

      Currently Gorky's home matches are held at the FOK "Zarechye" facility, and, as Andrievsky noted, the team is grateful for the provided conditions. However, this facility remains a public venue where children train and other sports activities take place.

      "In our ideal world we want a home for Nizhny Novgorod volleyball, and, broadly speaking, the All‑Russian Volleyball Federation could someday assist us with this if our region is interested. This is, we see, the main direction of our work," he said.

      He also did not rule out the possibility of creating a multifunctional sports complex together with the basketball club. However, as Andrievsky emphasized, for now this is only at the level of ideas and preliminary discussions.

      Earlier the leadership of the Nizhny Novgorod volleyball club spoke about the objectives for the 2025/2026 season.
