On October 13, Nizhny Novgorod volunteers sent another batch of humanitarian aid for servicemen taking part in the special military operation, as well as for civilians in the Kursk Region. The formation of the humanitarian cargo was organized through the joint efforts of the Nizhny Novgorod Aid Volunteer Center, the #WEARETOGETHER headquarters and the unified patriotic center "Avangard."
A significant part of the humanitarian cargo consisted of medicines, essential items and hygiene products. Contributions to the collection of aid were made by the Nizhny Novgorod Regional AIDS Center, staff of the regional Legislative Assembly’s office and local community centers in Nizhny Novgorod.
"Our center regularly sends humanitarian aid to the zone of the special military operation. As healthcare workers, we cannot stand aside. Providing assistance is not just a job, it is our principled position. This time the aid will be sent to the residents of the Kursk Region in the form of necessary hygiene kits. I urge everyone not to stand aside, to help our fighters participating in the special military operation, as well as civilians in need, to the extent of their abilities," said Solomon Apoyan, chief physician of the Center for the Fight against AIDS and deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
Volunteers carefully packed and prepared all the collected cargo for shipment, which will be sent to its destination today. The aid from Nizhny Novgorod residents will be delivered to the Kursk Region by staff of the Avangard Center for Patriotic Education.
"The team of our center is once again heading to the zone of the special military operation to deliver humanitarian aid. This is a manifestation of true patriotism and support for the front. We are combining the efforts of various organizations in the region to support those who need our help, and thereby strengthen our country. We are united and together able to overcome any difficulties," said Alexander Ineshin, acting executive director of the Avangard Center for Patriotic Education.
"For us, such a consolidation of efforts is extremely important. When state institutions, volunteer headquarters and patriotic centers work in a single effort, it makes it possible to provide the most effective and targeted support to those who need it. We continue to work on a daily basis and thank everyone who does not remain on the sidelines," emphasized Maria Samodelkina, general director of the Nizhny Novgorod Volunteer Center.
