The flow of tourists to Nizhny Novgorod is expected to increase by at least 10% by the end of 2025. This was reported by the director of the Department of Tourism and External Relations of the city hall, Alexander Simagin, at a meeting of the permanent commission of the city Duma on the economy on October 13.
According to him, the city has shown a steady increase in the number of tourists over the past five years.
"In 2024 we practically reached the mark of two million visitors; in 2025 we expect growth of at least 10%," Simagin said.
The official emphasized that Nizhny Novgorod has a well-developed tourism infrastructure, historical attractions, and cultural heritage sites. The development of tourism has been the result of systematic and targeted work.
