Two more commuter trains will be canceled in the Nizhny Novgorod region in October, the CRTS reports.
It is noted that the decision was made due to a seasonal decline in passenger traffic and the switch to the winter schedule.
Thus, from October 25 on Saturdays trains on route Nos. 6616/6625 "Nizhny Novgorod – Semyonov – Nizhny Novgorod" will stop running. And from October 26 the Sunday service Nos. 6608/6619 "Nizhny Novgorod – Tarasikha – Nizhny Novgorod" is canceled.
Recall that the "dacha commuter trains" in the region began to be canceled at the end of September.
It was also reported that the Russian Ministry of Transport is exploring the possibility of launching an urban commuter rail system in Nizhny Novgorod similar to the MCD.
