Volunteer in the Special Military Operation: "The faith of my family and loved ones in me and in my strength will help me at the front."

      From the Nizhny Novgorod selection point for combat training prior to service in the SVO zone, a new group of volunteers — residents of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast and other regions — departed. All underwent the mandatory medical commission and received additional equipment.

      Among them is a resident of Moscow Oblast. His main motive for signing a military contract was the desire to protect his relatives.

      “I decided to go to the special operation for two reasons: duty and upbringing. Who, if not us, will protect our families? This awareness comes with age, especially when you become a father and understand that the threat hangs not only over you, but also over your family, your children. I want to use my skills and be with the guys on the front line to stop the threat to Russia and to civilians. I am ready to help in any way I can. And the faith of my relatives and loved ones in me and my abilities will help me at the front,” the volunteer said.

      Another volunteer — a resident of Pavlovo, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast — worked at a factory before signing the contract. He holds the title of Master of Sport in sambo and has military service experience. The volunteer believes that in the special operation not only good physical fitness and combat skills are important, but also human qualities such as friendship, a man's sense of responsibility, and the willingness to take up defense.

      “For me, the main motive was the desire to support a friend who has been serving ‘behind the ribbon’ for the second year. I believe I possess all the qualities of a serviceman. I have experience of conscript service and contract service; my physical fitness is fine. Today no one should remain on the sidelines, because it is our duty as men to protect. And victory will surely be ours!” the contract serviceman is convinced.

      We remind you that the state provides defenders of the Fatherland with decent financial support and assists their families. Also, those who sign a contract and go to the SVO zone are issued certificates for the provision of 10 sotkas of land in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. The certificate can be used two years after receipt.

      In addition, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast has a mechanism for concluding military social contracts, which additionally guarantee the contract serviceman’s family 10,000 rubles per month for each child, benefits for payment of utilities, preschool services, and other forms of support. Individual support for the serviceman’s family is also provided.

      The sending of volunteers to their place of service is ensured by the Coordination Center for Support of Servicemen, the Mobilized and Their Families, operating at the House of National Unity.
