Two teachers from the Nizhny Novgorod Region became experts for the "Constellation of Educational Flagships" community.

      Yulia Kundikova, principal of School No. 16 in Sarov, and Tatyana Tarakanova, a primary school teacher at School No. 183 with in-depth study of certain subjects named after R. Alekseev in Nizhny Novgorod, have been named among 100 teachers, administrators and opinion leaders in the field of education whose inclusion was determined by the results of the selection competition for the expert community of the "Education Flagships" project of the presidential platform "Russia — the Land of Opportunities." In total, winners represent 53 regions of the country.

      The new experts of the "Constellation of Education Flagships" community will work in the regions to develop professional communities and spread effective practices. They will help introduce modern approaches to education management, mentoring, upbringing and media, and support government initiatives.

      "6,491 people applied to join the expert community; in the end we chose the 100 best teachers who will become the face of the project in their regions. They will receive expert status and will represent the project regionally and on federal platforms. They will also be able to act as speakers, moderators and mentors, disseminate best practices and amplify the project's influence in the field of education," said Gennady Guryanov, First Deputy General Director of the presidential platform "Russia — the Land of Opportunities." In October, the winners will take part in a strategic session on developing the expert community for 2026, which will be held at Baikal. The event includes a cultural and educational program with visits to the Taltsy museums and the Circum-Baikal Railway.

      One of the winners selected for the expert community "Constellation of Education Flagships" of the presidential platform "Russia — the Land of Opportunities," Yulia Kundikova, is a multiple prize-winner and victor in various management skills competitions in education. At the school she builds a system for fostering a conscious choice of future educational profile and profession, shapes the content of specialized engineering classes, and implements projects to improve the quality of education. She decided to participate in the "Constellation of Education Flagships" competition to inspire colleagues, students and parents toward new achievements.

      "Participating in the 'Constellation of Education Flagships' competition of the presidential platform 'Russia — the Land of Opportunities' is stepping out of my comfort zone and overcoming myself. That means new opportunities: the opportunity to bring new interesting people into the community, to show that the teaching profession has room for growth, leadership and respect. The opportunity to contribute my own ideas to the community on the development of technological education, thereby helping to create the country's technological leadership. The opportunity to promote values of patriotism and civic-mindedness, national culture, and responsibility for decisions made," said the principal of School No. 16 in Sarov, Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      Another contest winner, Tatyana Tarakanova, has worked in education for more than 30 years. She is not only a teacher but also a mentor for children, students and young teachers — a leader who leads by example, a volunteer, a winner and prize-winner of professional competitions at various levels, and a federal expert for children's and youth public organizations. In the "Constellation of Education Flagships" contest she was motivated by a desire to share her accumulated experience with colleagues, help young specialists raise their professional skills, and also to receive feedback and new ideas for further personal growth.

      "Participation in the 'Constellation of Education Flagships' competition of the presidential platform 'Russia — the Land of Opportunities' opened access to unique educational resources, provided the opportunity to exchange experiences with leading specialists in the sector, helped me grow professionally and personally, and gave me effective tools and an environment that supports change," said Tatyana Tarakanova.

      The selection competition for the expert community "Constellation of Education Flagships" of the presidential platform "Russia — the Land of Opportunities" included a multi-stage selection process that required professional knowledge and a clearly expressed leadership position. Task evaluations and interviews were conducted by current experts of the community.

      The expert community "Constellation of Education Flagships" helps promote the best educational practices, supports the development of regional human resources capacity and unites active teachers across the country. Thanks to their work, effective solutions and successful management models become available to a larger number of schools, teachers and administrators. This strengthens the education system as a whole and helps implement government initiatives aimed at developing human capital in Russia.

      Registration for the project continues: until October 19 participants can join the competition tracks "Media," "Government" and "Culture," and until November 4 — the "Mentorship" track. Each grants access to a "Competency Assessment," educational courses and practical assignments, for the completion of which a certificate can be earned. In addition, there are useful digital services of the project — the "Content Library" and the "Catalog of Opportunities" from partners, as well as the special project "SVOi.
