      Former executive director of TNS Energo Nizhny Novgorod Vasily Sitdikov has been released from the obligation to pay the company 785.6 million rubles. This decision was made by the appellate arbitration court after considering the former director’s appeal in his bankruptcy case. This was reported by “Ъ-Privolzhye.”

      Earlier the company sought to recover from Sitdikov the funds paid for the 2016 tax liability with fines, arguing that the tariffs had been inflated and the tax benefit unjustified. The ex-manager disputed the claims and left for Montenegro after a criminal case was opened against him for failure to comply with a court decision.

      Sitdikov insisted that the decisions on tariffs were made not by him but by the parent company. The appellate court upheld this position. The decision has not yet entered into legal force, and TNS Energo NN may challenge it in cassation.
