An entrepreneurship support center will open in Sharanga.

      An Entrepreneurship Support Center will be opened in the territory of the Sharangsky Municipal District. The signing of the relevant memorandum took place as part of an off-site meeting of the regional Ministry of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship with the district’s entrepreneurs.

      The document was signed by the First Deputy Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Albina Razina, the head of local government of the Sharangsky Municipal District Dmitry Ozhiganov, and the director of the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization "Corporation for the Development of Industry and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" (the "My Business" center) Ivan Razuvaev.

      According to Maxim Cherkasov, the implementation of the agreement will form the basis for building systematic work to develop business in the municipality.

      "Today the 'My Business' centers and entrepreneurship support centers are open in 80 percent of the municipalities of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. We are consistently working to ensure that the support infrastructure covers all territories of the region. In the Sharangsky Municipal District we will provide organizational and methodological support for the center’s work, train staff and connect them to digital services, while the municipal administration will provide premises and create the necessary conditions to receive entrepreneurs. The new center will allow businesses to receive consultations and support on a one-stop-shop basis and will become a focal point for the district’s business community," noted Maxim Cherkasov.

      Dmitry Ozhiganov emphasized that the creation of the Entrepreneurship Support Center will be an important stage in the development of the municipal economy.

      "Entrepreneurship development is a multifaceted process that requires joint efforts from the state, business and society. About 31 percent of those employed in the Sharangsky Municipal District work in small and medium-sized enterprises. There are 276 small and medium-sized enterprises and 710 self-employed citizens registered in the district. The establishment of the Entrepreneurship Support Center will help businesses more effectively navigate market needs, find new development opportunities and use available tools of state support," said Dmitry Ozhiganov.

      More than 40 municipal entrepreneurs took part in the off-site meeting, as well as specialists from the regional Ministry of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship and its subordinate organizations. Ivan Razuvaev, director of the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization "Corporation for the Development of Industry and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region," presented measures of state support for small and medium-sized businesses. Irina Burina, Deputy Director of the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization "Microcredit Company for the Support of Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" ("GosMFO"), spoke about opportunities to obtain subsidized loans. Galina Zaitseva, territorial manager of the Development Corporation of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, informed attendees about measures of state support for SMEs, the agency’s capabilities in supporting investment projects and the digital services for business available on the region’s investment portal. Two projects with a total investment volume of about 160 million rubles are currently under the support of the region’s Development Corporation in the Sharangsky district.

      B2B and B2G negotiations were held at the end of the program, during which entrepreneurs were able to directly discuss prospects for participation in state support programs, receive individual recommendations and establish new business contacts for future cooperation.

      According to the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy" will become the main tool for forming a new growth model. It includes federal projects aimed at the development of small and medium-sized entrepreneurship, increasing labor productivity, boosting investment activity, low-carbon development, and developing the state system of statistics and forecasting. One of the main points of the national project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship" was the creation of conditions for an easy start and comfortable business operation. Work to support entrepreneurs in this direction will continue this year under the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy."
