More than 30 lawsuits have been filed against real estate specialist and winner of the "Mrs. Nizhny Novgorod" and "Mrs. Russia" contests, Irina Tilnikova, as well as against her former business partner Nadezhda Shabalina. According to pravda-nn.ru, claims were filed by private individuals and banks. The claimants say they lent the women money with interest, but ultimately received neither their principal nor the promised returns.

Some of the lawsuits have already been upheld. For example, the court ordered Tilnikova and Shabalina to pay a Nizhny Novgorod resident, Tatyana Sidorova, more than 4.3 million rubles. The woman said that at first payments were made, but then they stopped. The regional court left the decision in force.

Another victim, Alexander, said he signed an agreement with Shabalina, who later suggested re-registering it in Tilnikova's name. One of his lawsuits for 2 million rubles has already been upheld; the second is under review.

Some claimants believe they have been victims of fraud. They plan to file a collective complaint with the Investigative Committee.

The geography of the victims extends beyond Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. Residents of Kemerovo Oblast and Rostov-on-Don also claim they gave money to Shabalina but were unable to recover it. One of them, Mikhail Lutsyk, reported that after two interest payments, contact with the borrower ceased. Another, Pyotr Zhukov, won a court case but noted that Shabalina shifts responsibility onto Tilnikova.

Nadezhda Shabalina claims that she herself was harmed by the actions of a former partner. According to her, she lost 9.6 million rubles and is now forced to answer to investors. She insists that the money was handed over to Tilnikova and that she never saw it herself.

Irina Tilnikova, in turn, said she intends to pay all debts but is encountering obstacles. According to her, lenders are interfering with her business by spreading rumors and blocking transactions. She also claims that Shabalina is hiding and misleading people.

In addition, Tilnikova's name appears in a separate court case related to the sale of an apartment worth 11.7 million rubles. She acted as the seller's representative and received the entire sum from the buyer; however, part of the funds intended to pay off the mortgage was not transferred. The court ordered the seller to pay the debt, but the decision has not yet come into force.

Meanwhile, enforcement proceedings have been opened on one of the claims. Bailiffs have seized the defendants' property and prohibited any registration actions with it.

The victims continue to seek the return of their funds. Some of them believe that Tilnikova's and Shabalina's actions may contain elements of a criminal offense.

Irina Tilnikova herself declined to comment on the situation.

Earlier it was reported that more than 39 million rubles were recovered from the former management of Nizhny Novgorod's "Radiotekhbank."
