Registration opened in Nizhny Novgorod for participation in the project “Leaders of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Moscow Track.”

The project is aimed at identifying and uniting high-potential young Nizhny Novgorod natives residing in Moscow and the Moscow Region into a sustainable community for active participation in the development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region through key projects. Participants will undergo a comprehensive educational program focused on developing managerial competencies and skills, becoming acquainted with best practices in the field of state and municipal governance, and implementing interregional projects and initiatives at the regional and federal levels.

“To be a true leader, you must constantly bear responsibility in the broad sense of the word — both at your workplace, being accountable for the decisions you make, and, more generally, for your role in society. When you sincerely believe in what you do and do it not for personal gain but for the people, for your homeland, people will follow you, seeing in you a true leader. The Nizhny Novgorod Region is open to ambitious leaders from all over Russia. Come — everyone will find a use for their talents here!” said Gleb Nikitin, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

The project is organized by the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, ANO “Nizhny Novgorod Compatriots,” the Corporate University of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region (KUPNO), ANO “Volunteer Center of the Nizhny Novgorod Region,” and ANO “Russia — Land of Opportunities.”

Applications are accepted until October 31, 2025 on the website: https://kupnokreml.ru/lidernomoscow. Project participants may be Nizhny Novgorod natives — leaders of public organizations and NGOs, volunteers, public figures, as well as activists of student associations aged 18 to 35 who reside in Moscow and the Moscow Region. Following the selection campaign, 300 of the best applications will be chosen.

The program includes four main educational modules (“Leadership and Team Management,” “Effective Management and Team Management,” “Social Projects: From Idea to Implementation,” “Change Management”) and a cross-cutting module “Connection with the Region,” the training for which is planned to be in-person and lasts three months. Participants will also be offered excursions to the Nizhny Novgorod Region in various areas, open dialogues with heads of regional enterprises, group and individual career consultations from specialists of the Youth Career Center of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, team-building sessions with winners of the “Leaders of the Nizhny Novgorod Region” project, and training at the Senezh Management Workshop. Each participant will develop and implement an interregional social project. In addition, Days of the Nizhny Novgorod Region in Moscow are planned.

Based on the individual ranking, 150 finalists of the project will be selected. They will undergo diagnostics of cross-professional skills and competencies at ANO “Russia — Land of Opportunities,” an assessment by KUPNO experts, and will develop a career development plan. Project winners will receive a diploma from the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, a KUPNO certificate of advanced training, and the opportunity to be included in the region’s personnel reserve.

“We are now running the fourth season of the flagship project ‘Leaders of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.’ During this time, our region’s leadership community has been joined by young and active participants who are ready to improve the lives of Nizhny Novgorod residents: more than 500 graduates and winners have been successfully employed. The project continues to grow and expand — we decided to scale it so that our compatriots living in the capital could also participate in the development of their native region,” emphasized project manager Maria Samodelkina.
