"Lastochki" carried over 3 million passengers on the Gorky railway from January to September.

      More than 3 million passengers were carried by Lastochka high-speed trains operating on the Gorky Railway in service to Nizhny Novgorod in January–September 2025.

      In particular, more than 2.8 million people were transported on the Nizhny Novgorod–Moscow route.

      Lastochkas running between the Volga region’s capital and Kirov carried 134.4 thousand passengers, while services between Nizhny Novgorod and Ivanovo carried 74.3 thousand people (+10.7%).

      High-speed train services on the Gorky mainline are operated using modern Lastochka electric trains in five- and ten-car configurations. JSC Russian Railways (RZD) monitors changes in demand and increases train formations when necessary.
