An attack by five Ukrainian drones was repelled in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      05 October 2025 07:39 Incidents Five Ukrainian UAVs were shot down in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast during the past night, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

      According to official data, a total of 32 enemy drones were intercepted and destroyed overnight by on-duty air defense systems.

      In particular, 11 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down over each of Belgorod and Voronezh oblasts. One enemy drone was also shot down over each of the Bryansk, Kursk, Tula and Tambov oblasts and over Mordovia.

      Earlier, a UAV attack was repelled in Kstovsky District on October 2. The head of the region, Gleb Nikitin, wrote about the incident on his Telegram channel.

      Earlier, Nizhny Novgorod residents were reminded how to act during a drone attack.
