      The Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin, congratulated teachers on their professional holiday, observed on October 5.

      "The teaching profession is one of the most respected and responsible. You help develop talents in our children, teach them to think, to make decisions independently, and instill in them love for the Motherland and for our shared history. Through the knowledge you give the younger generation, children open up horizons of new opportunities. Parents entrust you with the most precious thing—their children. And I thank all the educators who treat their work as a calling. You are kind, sensitive mentors. Your wise advice and support are as important to children as subject knowledge," Nikitin said.

      The head of the region also noted that the education sector of Nizhny Novgorod Region is developing rapidly. New schools are opening and existing ones are being renovated, with special attention paid to their technical equipment. Programs of additional education in various areas are being successfully implemented. Such practices, according to Nikitin, help children develop in a well-rounded way while at the same time choosing a future professional path during their school years.

      "The region is implementing the largest infrastructure project — an IT campus, on the basis of which highly qualified personnel will be trained in in-demand IT specialties. Eighteen residential buildings to house 1,300 people have already been built, and the first students will move in this October. It is also planned to launch more than 20 laboratories of the Federal Technopark of Vocational Education, which are located on the territory of 'Nizhpoligraf'," the governor added.

      "And the most important link in all these transformations is the teachers who put their heart into their work. It is thanks to the enthusiasm of our teachers that yesterday's pupils grow into top-class professionals in the economy, science, culture and many other fields. On Teacher's Day I wish you good health, inspiration and a wonderful mood! May your students delight you with their successes as often as possible! Happy Teacher's Day!" concluded the head of Nizhny Novgorod Region.
