The Prosecutor's Office of the Avtozavodsky District of Nizhny Novgorod has identified significant violations of anti-corruption legislation by one of the EMERCOM employees. The case concerns the head of the supervisory unit for Avtozavod who, according to the supervisory authority, could not confirm the lawful origin of part of his expenditures.

During the inspection, the prosecutor's office established that in the submitted declarations of income and expenses the civil servant reported amounts that clearly exceeded his official income. In addition, cases were identified of concealing ownership of expensive property that is formally registered to his parents.

It was also found that the EMERCOM employee, despite the prohibition, engaged in entrepreneurial activity, which contradicts the requirements of civil service legislation.

As a result of the inspection, the prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit asking the court to transfer to the revenue of the Russian Federation property acquired with unverified income. The total value of the disputed property exceeds 11 million rubles.

Recall that the FSB uncovered a corruption scheme in the Nizhny Novgorod directorate of EMERCOM.

Earlier it was reported that more than 1 billion rubles were recovered to the state from the former head of Nizhny Novgorod, Oleg Sorokin.
