Former employees of the polyclinic in Balakhna will face trial for embezzling a million.

      Two former employees of the Balakhna polyclinic are accused of unlawfully appropriating more than one million rubles. According to the press service of the Nizhny Novgorod prosecutor's office, the suspects abused their official positions.

      According to the investigation, from September 2022 to December 2024 the former head of Polyclinic No. 1 acted in collusion with a general practitioner. Together they organized a scheme under which unjustified bonuses were paid to themselves and, possibly, others, and working hours were recorded with violations.

      Thus more than one million rubles were stolen from the budget.

      The former head of the medical institution fully admitted his guilt. The general practitioner also gave incriminating testimony and said that she helped implement the scheme.

      The criminal case, initiated on a charge of fraud, has now been transferred to the Balakhna City Court.

      Earlier it was reported that a Nizhny Novgorod travel agent sold fake tours to dozens of tourists worth millions of rubles.
