A participant in the special military operation: "There will be no Nazism on our territories!"

      Sergeant with the call sign "Tërkin" returned to his homeland from the special military operation, where he served for about ten months as a sapper in a demining group. He has served in the engineering troops of the Russian army for six years.

      "I am proud of my profession and constantly improve my professional skills. But it was during the special military operation that I realized that people's safety depends on my work," the SMO participant said.

      The fighter's duties included inspecting liberated territories for explosive devices and neutralizing mines.

      "I believe the enemy is showing cowardice and baseness by using methods aimed at the civilian population. For example, they plant explosive devices in toys, books and other items that could fall into children's hands. Our task is to protect civilians and ensure their safety," he said.

      The local population in the liberated territories greeted Russian servicemen with warmth and gratitude.

      "I did not encounter any negative attitude from local residents toward Russian servicemen. People were happy and thanked us for clearing the fields; now they could return to agricultural activities and run their households," the sergeant noted.

      After returning from the SMO zone, Sergeant "Tërkin" continues to serve in the engineering troops as commander of a training section.

      "If necessary, I am ready to return to the special military operation without hesitation. I am confident of victory because our cause is just. We will liberate Russian lands and stop the enemy — there will be no Nazism on our territories!" the SMO participant declares.

      Recall that the state provides material support to defenders of the Motherland and assists their families. Those who sign a contract and go to the SMO zone are issued certificates granting 10 sotkas of land in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The certificate can be used two years after it is issued.

      In addition, the Nizhny Novgorod region has a mechanism for concluding military social contracts, which additionally guarantee the contract serviceman's family 10,000 rubles per month for each child, benefits for utility payments, preschool services and other types of support. Individual support for the serviceman's family is also provided.

      The dispatch of Nizhny Novgorod region residents to their place of service and the issuance of additional equipment is ensured by the Coordination Center for the Support of Servicemen, Mobilized Personnel and Their Families, operating on the basis of the House of National Unity. At the same time, the region continues to actively support servicemen by sending humanitarian cargoes to the special military operation zone.
