Pari NN lost to Spartak in the first match in Nizhny Novgorod.

      October 1, 2025, 20:25 Sport "Pari Nizhny Novgorod" suffered a second consecutive defeat to Moscow's "Spartak". The Russian Cup group-stage match was played at the Nizhny Novgorod side's home ground for the first time this season. The meeting ended 1:2.

      In the 16th minute Uruguayan forward Juan Boselli sent the ball into the visitors' net, but after a VAR review the goal was disallowed; the referees recorded a foul in Nizhny Novgorod's penalty area. The referee awarded a penalty, which the visitors were able to convert.

      Ten minutes later Boselli did score, leveling the score after a free kick.

      In the second half Spartak stepped up their game through substitutions. In the 83rd minute defender Sven Karić received a second yellow card and was sent off, leaving the hosts with ten men. In the 93rd minute Zhedson Fernandes scored the winning goal, giving Spartak three points.

      After five rounds Pari Nizhny Novgorod sit third in Group C with three points.

      On Monday Aleksei Shpilevsky's side lost 0:3 to Spartak in Moscow.
