Women in Nizhny Novgorod will be able to get a free mammogram in October.

      October 1, 2025, 14:18 Society — In Nizhny Novgorod, the social campaign "Bust-Bridge over the Volga: Against Breast Cancer" (18+) has started for the tenth time. Its goal is to draw attention to breast cancer and strengthen prevention through early diagnosis.

      Until October 20, female residents of the Nizhny Novgorod Region can undergo examinations at the project's partner clinics. In public institutions appointments are organized free of charge; in a number of private medical centers they are provided for a fee with significant discounts.

      Free mammography is being performed at the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Clinical Oncology Dispensary at the addresses: 11 Delovaya St., bldg. 1 and 190V Rodionova St. Appointment booking for women aged 40 and over is open by phone +7 (996) 013-05-15 on weekdays from 09:00 to 16:00. When calling, you must give the code word "Bust-Bridge."

      Discounted examinations are available at the private partner clinics: "Tonus Premium," "Nika Spring," "Persona," "ImageLab," "Rainbow of Health," "RusMed," "Alexandria," "Sadko," "Academy VIP." Discounts of up to 50% on mammography are offered, as well as preferential prices for ultrasound diagnostics and specialist consultations (exact terms should be clarified at each clinic). When booking, you need to say the code word "Bust-Bridge."

      On October 7, a round table "Bust-Bridge: Ten Years of Saving Lives" will be held at the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Information Center. The discussion will include the campaign's author and organizer Ekaterina Chudakova, oncologist Aleksey Vorontsov, oncologist-mammologist Sergey Pegov and other specialists.

      "The goal of our campaign is to get as many women as possible to come and check their health. Therefore we try to attract a lot of attention to the project, often doing so in unconventional ways. Ten years ago we started by collecting bras, invited leading designers from across Russia to participate in the project, created signature T-shirts in support of the project, and involved well-known women from across the country," said the idea's author, head of the social projects service at ANO "Center 800," Ekaterina Chudakova.

      The final event will take place on October 20 at the "Record" Cultural Center.

      The project has been carried out annually since 2015 with the support of the government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the region's Ministry of Health and ANO "Center 800."

      It was reported that Nizhny Novgorod residents can sign up for a free oral cancer screening.
