The bypass road on Rodionova Street is scheduled to open in November.

      October 1, 2025, 13:13 Society/Construction Construction of a parallel road for Rodionova Street in Nizhny Novgorod is on schedule, reports the Telegram channel "Metro NN".

      Traffic on part of the new bypass is planned to open in a month.

      Contractors are currently working on the road surface. Workers are forming the "trough" of the temporary route: curbs and old asphalt have already been removed, and excavation of the base for the new pavement has begun.

      A substantial volume of materials will be required to outfit the road sections: about 5,000 cubic meters of sand, 5,300 tons of crushed stone, 3,700 tons of asphalt concrete mix and over 2,000 linear meters of curb stone.

      The total length of the temporary route will be 1,036 meters.

      At the same time, the traffic pattern on Rodionova Street will not change for now. Vehicles will continue to use four lanes, which will be shifted closer to the shoulders. The central part of the road will later become a construction site for future metro turnback sidings.

      Earlier it was reported that tunneling of the second metro tunnel from Sennaya Square is progressing ahead of schedule.
