The School Squads Forum will be held in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      September 28, 2025, 13:32 Society The Nizhny Novgorod regional branch of the All‑Russian public movement "Volunteers of Victory" has announced the start of registration for the first Forum of School Squads (14+), which will take place on October 13–14 with the support of the government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      The forum will serve as a platform for exchanging experience, implementing modern formats for studying history, and popularizing patriotic volunteerism. The event is held as part of the national project "Youth and Children," aimed at the development and self-realization of the younger generation.

      As emphasized by the head of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the movement, Maria Samodelkina, school volunteer squads play a key role in the patriotic education of young people.

      "Our kids become true leaders in their schools and communities, inspiring their peers to take part in preserving historical memory and civic initiatives," she said.

      The forum is intended to bring together the most active and enterprising students, identify leaders, and provide them with opportunities for further development.

      Currently, there are 50 municipal branches and 82 school squads of "Volunteers of Victory" operating in the region. Representatives of these associations will be able to take part in the competitive selection.

      Citizens of Russia aged 14 to 18 who reside in the Nizhny Novgorod Region and actively participate in the movement's activities are invited to take part. Applications can be submitted both by members of school volunteer squads and by their leaders.

      Registration is open until October 5, 2025. To become a participant, you must register on the official website волонтёрыпобеды.рф, submit an application for the event "Forum of School Squads of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Branch of the All‑Russian Public Movement 'Volunteers of Victory,'" and complete the questionnaire.       The evaluation of applications and the formation of the participant list will take place from October 5 to October 8, 2025. The names of the selected participants will be published on the official page of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the "Volunteers of Victory" movement on the social network VKontakte.

      Recall that the national project "Youth and Children," launched in 2025 at the direction of Russian President Vladimir Putin, combined the objectives of the previously operating projects "Education" and "Science and Universities." Its goal is to create conditions for unlocking the potential of young people and forming responsible citizens.

      Within the national project, nine federal programs are being implemented, including "Russia — a Land of Opportunity," "We Are Together," "All the Best for Children," "Teachers and Mentors," and others. Support for volunteering is provided through the "We Are Together" project, within which volunteer centers are created and training events and competitions are organized.
