      The women's team "Normanochka" from Nizhny Novgorod confidently began the new season of the Russian futsal championship among top-league teams. In the opening match the Nizhny Novgorod side secured a big victory over Yekaterinburg's "Sinara" — 6:0.

      According to the club's official Telegram channel, Evgenia Kovalenko and Alexandra Chernova each scored a brace in the match. Sofya Kukhareva and Darya Kvasova scored one goal apiece. Irina Pravdina had four assists.

      Normanochka's head coach Stanislav Buslaev congratulated the fans on the successful start to the season and shared his impressions of the game.

      "We could have scored more. Yes, we can play better. The only thing missing was emotion — it was felt during the warm-up and in the locker room. We will do a reset, reorganize, and the team will look stronger," the coach said.

      A rematch between the same opponents will take place on September 28 in Nizhny Novgorod.
