The regional forum of the Victory Volunteers will take place in October.

      The Nizhny Novgorod branch of the All‑Russian public movement "Volunteers of Victory" has announced the start of registration for the first regional forum of school squads. The event is scheduled for October 13–14 with the support of the government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and is being held within the framework of the national project "Youth and Children."

      According to the organizers, the aim of the forum is to involve teenagers in preserving the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War, introduce modern formats for studying history, exchange experience between school volunteer squads, and develop and popularize patriotic volunteering in the region.

      "Patriotic education of youth is the foundation on which the future of our country is built. In the districts and cities of the region, school squads of Volunteers of Victory often serve an important role as school leaders, demonstrating a responsible attitude toward preserving the memory of the Great Patriotic War and leading their peers. The forum will become an important platform for identifying and supporting the most active and creative participants," said Maria Samodelkina, head of the Nizhny Novgorod regional branch of the All‑Russian public movement "Volunteers of Victory."

      As of today, there are 50 municipal branches and 82 school squads operating in the region, whose representatives will be able to take part in the competitive selection.

      Citizens of the Russian Federation aged 14 to 18 who reside in the Nizhny Novgorod Region and are activists of the "Volunteers of Victory" movement are invited to participate. Both members of school teams and their leaders may submit applications.

      Registration will be open until October 5, 2025. To participate, you must register on the movement’s official website, submit an application for the event, and complete a questionnaire in your personal account.

      The evaluation of applications and the formation of the list of participants are scheduled for the period from October 5 to October 8, 2025. Information about the results will be posted on the official pages of the Nizhny Novgorod regional branch of the All‑Russian public movement "Volunteers of Victory" on the social network VKontakte.

      Recall that since 2025, by order of President Vladimir Putin, the national project "Youth and Children" has come into effect in Russia. It consolidated objectives previously provided for in the national projects "Education" and "Science and Universities" and is aimed at creating conditions for the development of talents, youth self‑realization, and the upbringing of responsible and moral citizens.

      Within the national project, nine federal programs are being implemented: "Russia — a Land of Opportunities," "We Are Together," "Russia in the World," "All the Best for Children," "Leading Schools," "Teachers and Mentors," "Creating a Network of Modern Campuses," "Universities for a Generation of Leaders," and "Professionalitet." Support for volunteer activities is provided for in the "We Are Together" project and includes the creation of volunteer support centers, the conduct of training courses, and competitions.
