      Over nine months in the Nizhny Novgorod region, controllers identified 1,407 violations of public transport fare rules. This was reported by the Center for the Development of Transport Systems.

      1,027 reports were drawn up for traveling without a ticket, and another 380 for the unlawful use of someone else’s preferential transport card.

      The total amount of imposed fines reached 1.862 million rubles. At the same time, 71 people did not pay the fine within the prescribed period, as a result of which the materials on them were forwarded to the court bailiffs for enforcement. In accordance with current legislation, the fine for traveling without a ticket is 1,000 rubles, and for using someone else’s preferential transport card – 2,000 rubles.
