      The State Labor Inspectorate in the Nizhny Novgorod region is conducting an investigation into the death of a VTB Bank employee who died during a business trip to Nizhny Novgorod, the agency's press service reported.

      According to preliminary information, the tragedy occurred on September 26 at around 7:00 p.m. The director of the directorate for work with key corporate clients of Moscow and the Moscow Region of the Department of Regional Corporate Business of VTB Bank (PJSC) was on a business trip to Nizhny Novgorod.

      After finishing all scheduled work meetings he went to dinner at a restaurant with a colleague. Once outside, the man suddenly fell ill — he lost consciousness.

      An ambulance was called to the scene, but the arriving medics could only declare biological death.

      The agency's inspectors are establishing all the circumstances of the incident. A legal assessment of what happened will be given based on the results of the inspection.
