A bus rammed into seven cars in Nizhny Novgorod due to a malfunction.

      In Nizhny Novgorod on Lenin Avenue on September 28 a major road traffic accident involving public transport occurred. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      According to preliminary data, the cause of the accident was a technical failure of the bus. As a result of the breakdown the driver lost control, and the minibus, coasting, struck another seven cars nearby.

      Passengers of the bus were not injured. However, among those in the damaged cars there are injured persons — two minors and one adult. All of them were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity.

      Traffic police officers continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident. Details are being clarified.
