Support for participants in the special military operation and their family members is a key direction of United Russia’s People’s Program
Members of the families of deceased participants in the special military operation gathered at the Dostizhenie Equestrian Club. A one-day psychological relief program was prepared for the mothers, wives and children of servicemen. The meeting took place as part of the implementation of the party project “Strong Family.”
“Support and assistance is a comprehensive concept. We pay particular attention to women and children who have lost their closest people: their sons, husbands, fathers gave their lives for the Motherland. It is our duty to prove by our actions that we value the feat of their relatives and deeply share their grief. Psychological programs help in difficult life situations to distract oneself, relax, and get a breather. I think that for everyone gathered here today this is of great importance,” said Irina Goncharova, regional coordinator of the federal party project “Strong Family” of the United Russia party in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.
An important part of the program was a meeting with psychologists. They spoke with participants and answered questions.
“Our primary task is to provide full support and assistance to families who have faced the severe loss of a loved one. We strive to create conditions for restoring internal resources and preserving emotional strength,” emphasized psychotraumatologist, psychotherapist and crisis psychologist Svetlana Matveyeva.
The main event of the day was interaction with the horses. Psychological programs involving horses are actively used for therapeutic purposes. Specialists note that contact with a large, gentle animal helps reduce anxiety and overcome fears. The method is called “hippotherapy.”
“Hippotherapy is an excellent way to recover physically and emotionally. It is suitable for all ages and health conditions. We run sessions for women, supporting their mood and self-confidence. Interaction with a horse brings calm, self-belief and a sense of well-being. Seeing the successes of our participants is a great joy for us,” shared Tatyana Gryaznova, director of the autonomous non-profit organization for adaptive and therapeutic riding “Dostizhenie Equestrian Club.”
The horses of the equestrian sports complex made a huge impression on both children and adults.
“I would never have thought that at 50 I would go on a horseback ride for the first time! I decided to try it and had a lot of vivid sensations. I could never have imagined before how interesting and beneficial it is. Thanks to the organizers for offering horseback riding to strengthen the spine. I feel much better and plan to come regularly,” shared a participant of the event.
The event was organized by the Nizhny Novgorod regional branch of the United Russia party and the Sormovsky District Department of Social Protection with the support of Legislative Assembly deputy Mikhail Pershin.
Let us recall that support for participants in the special military operation and their family members is a priority area of the party’s work and one of the main points of United Russia’s People’s Program. This initiative underlines the party’s unwavering commitment to providing comprehensive assistance and support to those who defend the country’s interests.
