The cost of "Health City" in Nizhny Novgorod was estimated at 35.2 billion rubles.

      September 25, 2025 14:49 Society The cost of creating the "City of Health" complex in Nizhny Novgorod, which includes the renovation of the Semashko Regional Hospital on Rodionova Street, is estimated at 35.2 billion rubles. This figure is given in materials from the regional government sent to deputies of the legislative assembly, writes "Kommersant-Privolzhye."

      The construction of the oncology center will require 22.7 billion rubles. Of this, 18 billion rubles (including 10.3 billion rubles from the federal budget) are planned to be allocated for the construction of surgical and polyclinic buildings in 2026–2031. Another 4.7 billion rubles (including 2 billion rubles from the federal budget) are allocated for the construction and equipping of a nuclear medicine center in 2026–2028.

      The renovation of the Semashko Regional Hospital is estimated at 12 billion rubles. Of that, 10.1 billion rubles will go to major repairs, 1.2 billion rubles to equipment, and 700 million rubles to the construction of a new admissions department. An additional 500 million rubles are provided for the improvement of the surrounding grounds.

      The presentation indicates that about 4,500 cancer patients from the Nizhny Novgorod region are sent for treatment to other regions each year, leading to a loss of around 1.2 billion rubles for the region. The shortage of beds for oncology patients is currently estimated at about 400.
