In several municipalities of the Nizhny Novgorod region, the first meetings of the renewed compositions of representative bodies of power were held. At them, chairmen and deputy chairs of councils of deputies were elected, and profile committees were formed.
In Dzerzhinsk, Victoria Nikolaeva was again chosen as chair of the city duma of the eighth convocation. Deputies supported her candidacy at the first meeting. Deputy chairs elected were Viktor Romanov from the United Russia party and Alexander Terentyev, representing the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.
The head of Dzerzhinsk, Mikhail Klinkov, emphasized that the new convocation faces the task of drafting the city budget for 2026 while maintaining its social focus.
In the Bogorodsk municipal district, Andrey Rezvyakov was elected chairman of the Council of Deputies of the second convocation — general director of JSC "Bogorodsk Passenger Motor Transport Enterprise" and secretary of the local branch of United Russia. His candidacy was supported unanimously.
In the Balakhna district, Konstantin Dezhurnov — co-owner and development director of the company RusKomTrans — became chairman of the council of deputies. He also received unanimous support from deputies. The previous chairman, Anatoly Sidorin, did not participate in the elections of the new convocation. Dezhurnov’s deputies are Vladislav Bolkin, who previously held this post, and Andrey Krylov, the former head of the local Interior Ministry department.
In the closed city of Sarov, 36-year-old Alexander Sklyarov was elected chairman of the city duma. The decision was made unanimously at the first meeting held on September 24. Sklyarov, a senior researcher at RFNC–VNIIEF, was elected to the duma for the first time in constituency No. 34 from the United Russia party. Since early 2024 he has also headed the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the nuclear center.
The deputy chairmen of Sarov’s city duma are Evgeny Mikheev, head of a department at RFNC (on a part-time basis), as well as Ivan Plaksin, a veteran of the special military operation, and Andrey Nemchinov, who held a similar position in the previous convocation (both on a full-time basis). All three represent United Russia.
Recall that public hearings on the draft revised charter of Nizhny Novgorod will take place on October 15, 2025. The first meeting of the deputies of the new convocation of the duma is scheduled for September 29.
