The No. 42 bus route in Nizhny Novgorod has been changed again.

      Bus route No. 42 in Nizhny Novgorod has been changed again. This was reported by the CRTS.

      Since September 24, buses have been running from Komsomolskaya Square via Gorky Square and Ilyinskaya Street to the "Nizhegorodskaya Street" stop. The return route runs along Gogol Street, Zalomov Street, Pokhvalinsky Descent, then via Gorky Square toward Komsomolskaya Square.

      Recall that the route was first changed on September 10, when buses were diverted to avoid Dobrolyubov and Maslyakov streets, where reconstruction work on the tram tracks had begun. The temporary route ran via Plotnichny Lane. However, bus movement under the new scheme was hindered by parked cars.

      At that time the route was temporarily shortened to Gorky Square, and a mobile photo-video enforcement unit for traffic violations was installed in the lane. But even it could not change the situation. As the CRTS noted, despite the presence of cameras, drivers continue to leave their cars in such a way that buses cannot pass.

      In connection with this, a decision was made to change the traffic scheme again to ensure the uninterrupted operation of public transport.

      Earlier it was reported that testing of the new trolleybus "Olgerd" would begin in Nizhny Novgorod on September 25.
