The Russian government plans to extend the ban on gasoline exports until the end of the current year. In addition, an embargo will be introduced on diesel fuel exports for non-producers. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, who oversees the energy sector, according to TV channel "360".

According to him, these measures are aimed at supplying the domestic market with the necessary petroleum products.

Russia continues to face a fuel crisis that has already led to a reduction in the number of independent gas stations. Private companies cannot raise the retail price of gasoline by more than 5 rubles per liter due to restrictions from the Federal Antimonopoly Service. At the same time, major market players are keeping retail prices below wholesale, which is pushing small participants out of the market.

It should be recalled that in several regions of Russia, including the Nizhny Novgorod Region, gas stations have begun to impose limits on gasoline sales.

This week Governor Gleb Nikitin spoke about a shortage of gasoline at gas stations in the region. According to him, the situation should stabilize shortly. All necessary instructions on this matter have been given.
