      The Prosecutor’s Office of the Nizhny Novgorod Region has taken the investigation of a fatal accident in which an underage motorcyclist died under its control, the agency’s press service reported.

      The tragedy occurred on the evening of September 21 on the Vyezdnoye–Diveyevo highway in the area of the village of Shatovka in the Arzamas district. According to preliminary information, a 16-year-old teenager on a pit bike without state registration plates entered the oncoming lane, where a collision with a fuel tanker occurred. The underage driver died at the scene.

      The regional prosecutor’s office is overseeing the establishment of all the circumstances of the incident and is monitoring the taking of a procedural decision in this case.

      Earlier it was reported that the regional prosecutor’s office had launched an inspection after a minibus collided with a passenger car in Nizhny Novgorod.
