      The women's team Normanochka from Nizhny Novgorod won the Russian Futsal Super Cup, defeating rivals from the St. Petersburg club Kristall 1–0, the Russian Football Union reports.

      The match took place on September 21 at the Meshchersky sports and recreation complex in Nizhny Novgorod. The only and decisive goal was scored at the end of the first half — Maria Samoilova, securing a historic victory for her team.

      The awards ceremony was conducted by the governor of Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, and the deputy general secretary of the Russian Football Union, Irina Posirenina. Individual awards for the past season were also presented before the match.

      The best goalkeeper honor went to Anastasia Ivanova, who plays for Kristall, while the best player award was given to Yana Zimirova of Normanochka.

      "Congratulations to the girls, the coaching staff and the team management! This is our shared victory!" wrote Governor Gleb Nikitin on his Telegram channel.

      This Super Cup is the first in the history of the Nizhny Novgorod team. The club was founded in 2018 and in a relatively short time has achieved impressive success: two championship titles (2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons) and three Russian Cup victories (2021/22, 2022/23, 2024/25).

      Next week Normanochka will begin its campaign in the Russian championship.

      Recall that before the game the tournament's main trophy was shown against the backdrop of Nizhny Novgorod's landmark sites.
