Scammers posing as the Nizhny Novgorod Chamber of Commerce and Industry are asking entrepreneurs for money.

      In the Nizhny Novgorod region, cases of fraud targeting local entrepreneurs have been recorded. The perpetrators send letters demanding payment of fees, posing as employees of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

      According to the official Telegram channel of the Nizhny Novgorod Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), the scammers send notifications claiming there is an outstanding debt for organizational dues. The letters demand that 5,000 rubles be transferred to a bank card allegedly belonging to the chamber's treasurer.

      CCI representatives stated that such mailings were not carried out and that the position of treasurer does not exist within the organization's structure. This confirms that the messages are an attempted fraud.

      In this regard, Nizhny Novgorod entrepreneurs are urged to remain vigilant and not fall for these provocations. If such letters are received, it is recommended to immediately contact the Chamber of Commerce and Industry by phone at +7 (831) 266-42-10, ext. 1051, +7 (910) 100-80-19 or write to the email [email protected].

      Earlier it was reported that a resident of Dzerzhinsk in the Nizhny Novgorod region mistook scammers for law enforcement officers and handed over 1.6 million rubles to them.
