On the Volga River near the village of Prosek in the Lyskovsky district on September 21 a tragic incident occurred — a boat capsized with three men on board. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
According to preliminary information, two of the passengers were able to be rescued thanks to the help of bystanders who were nearby on another boat. They noticed the incident in time and came to the rescue.
Unfortunately, the third man, 48, was unable to get out of the water. He drowned before rescuers arrived.
All circumstances of the incident are being established. Emergency services are working at the scene.
Earlier it was reported that the body of a fisherman who drowned after his boat collided with a tug in the Kstovo district had been found.
