      Vitaly Karasyov has been appointed the new general director of the Pari Nizhny Novgorod football club, the club’s press service reported on 19 September.

      Recall that his predecessor was David Melik-Guseynov, who came to sports from the Ministry of Health. His resignation from the post became known on 13 September.

      The club said that a significant part of Karasyov’s life and professional career is connected with sports and the Nizhny Novgorod region. The 36-year-old specialist began work at the Nizhny Novgorod Region “Center for Sports Training,” where he advanced from analyst to deputy director.

      Since 2024 he has served as executive director of “Volna,” a football club from the Nizhny Novgorod region that competes in Second League B.

      “When making the decision we took into account both the professional and personal qualities of the candidates, their understanding of our values and the club’s development priorities,” said Maksim Gafurov, general director of the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization “Center for Sports Management and Development in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.”

      According to him, Karasyov’s appointment at Pari NN is a continuation of systematic work to attract young and ambitious personnel to the leadership of professional clubs in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      By the way, sports insiders had named Karasyov as one of the candidates for the post of new general director of Pari NN.
