The accused has been deprived of the right to hold positions in public service within law enforcement agencies and must pay a fine of 1 million rubles.
In the Bogorodsky District a former senior traffic police inspector was found guilty of accepting a bribe. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Nizhny Novgorod Region. It was established that on June 26, 2025 the defendant, while performing his official duties, received a bribe of 50,000 rubles from a driver who showed external signs of alcohol intoxication. The offender sought in this way to avoid being tested for alcohol intoxication and, consequently, being removed from driving and being held administratively liable.
The court sentenced the former police officer to a fine of 1 million rubles. He was also stripped of his rank and deprived of the right to hold positions in public service in law enforcement agencies related to the exercise of authority for a term of 2 years.
