48 residents of Nizhny Novgorod were awarded state honors for special merits in labor.

      Society On 19 September 2025, Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Andrey Gneushev presented state awards to 48 residents of the region. The solemn ceremony took place at the Rukavishnikovs' museum-estate.

      Speaking at the ceremony, Andrey Gneushev noted that it was a great honor for him to present awards to deserving residents of Nizhny Novgorod and that the Nizhny Novgorod land is rich in talented and hardworking people. He emphasized that while the heroes, fighters of the special military operation (SMO), defend the country on the battlefields, those awarded in the rear forge Victory, achieving success in various sectors, setting an example of labor and love for the Motherland and service to the Fatherland for the youth. "My deep bow to you and great gratitude for your military labor!" he added.

      State awards were presented for achievements in the fields of culture and the arts, science and education, agriculture and industry, the transport sector, the construction industry, sports, as well as to representatives of state and municipal service.

      Earlier it was reported that the Nizhny Novgorod authorities want to establish a medal for supporting the SMO.
