More than 10 million passengers were carried by suburban trains in the Nizhny Novgorod region from January to August.

      More than 10 million passengers used suburban trains operating on the Gorky Railway within the borders of the Nizhny Novgorod Region in January–August 2025. This is 0.1% more than in the same period last year.

      Over the eight months passengers most frequently departed from the following stations:

      · Nizhny Novgorod-Moskovsky – 3.3 million people (on par with last year, a leap year);

      · Dzerzhinsk – 805,000 people (+2.9%);

      · Balakhna – 474,600 people (+27.3%);

      · Linda – 405,200 people (+1.5%);

      · Semyonov – 316,300 people (+6%);

      · Arzamas-2 – 268,600 people (+7.4%).

      One of the most popular suburban routes remains the Nizhny Novgorod–Mokhovye Gory route. More than 246,000 passengers rode these trains (+37.7%). This result is due to the deployment of additional services following the start of repair work on the old Borsky Bridge. Their operation has been extended until 1 November 2025.

      Recall that the Gorky Railway introduced additional stops for suburban trains connecting the Volga capital with the stations Prospekt Gagarina, Zavolzhye, Metallist and Gorokhovets, and commuter train No. 6046 Varya–Pochinki has been extended to Pravdinsk station.
