Residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region can join the autumn stage of the nationwide paper collection campaign "BumBatl" (0+). It is being held as part of the national project "Environmental Well-being" and covers regions of the country until November 30, the region's Ministry of Ecology reported.
The organizer of the campaign is the All‑Russian ecological public movement "Ecosystem" with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation.
The main goal of the event is to cultivate environmental habits and a culture of careful treatment of nature among citizens. The campaign is competitive in nature: participants can compete for leadership in individual or team standings, as well as contribute to the overall result of the region.
Waste paper is accepted at kindergartens, schools, colleges, universities, offices of participating companies, government institutions and specialized collection points.
To date, 1,260 participants have already joined the campaign in the Nizhny Novgorod region. They include students and teachers of School No. 4 in the town of Semyonov, Gymnasium No. 2 in the city of Sarov, Aryevskaya School, the school of the settlement Selektsionnaya Stantsiya, Schools No. 3 and No. 151 of Nizhny Novgorod, as well as employees of the Municipal Budgetary Institution of Additional Education "Ecological and Biological Center." Together they have managed to collect almost 11 tons of paper.
Any organization or individual residents can take part. Before beginning to collect waste paper at their institution, participants should check whether recyclables can be taken to the nearest collection point. Such points can be found using the map on the campaign website.
To participate, you must register on the official website бумбатл.рф. Collected waste paper must be weighed, photographed and the data entered into a personal account, attaching a recyclables delivery certificate (if available) or a photo.
In addition, the organizers recommend sharing your participation on the social media pages of institutions, organizations or on personal pages using the campaign hashtags: #бумбатл #экосистема #нацпроектэкоблагополучие.
After the "BumBatl" concludes, winners will be determined among kindergartens, schools, colleges, universities and work teams.
Recall that since 2025, by order of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, the national project "Environmental Well-being" has come into effect. It combined the tasks previously provided for in the national project "Ecology." The new project is aimed at creating modern infrastructure for sorting and recycling waste, eliminating landfills, cleaning water bodies, preserving forests, reducing atmospheric emissions, developing eco‑tourism and conserving rare animal species.
The national project includes six federal projects: "General Cleanup," "Water of Russia," "Preserving Biodiversity and Developing Ecotourism," "Forest Conservation," "Circular Economy," and "Clean Air."
