      Nizhny Novgorod Region entered the top three Russian regions with the lowest unemployment rate in the second quarter of 2025. The region took third place, according to a new RIA Novosti study.

      According to the data, in the second quarter of 2025 the unemployment rate in Nizhny Novgorod Region stands at 1%. Compared with the same period last year, this indicator fell by 0.3%. On average, a resident of Nizhny Novgorod spends 2.8 months looking for a new job.

      The same figure is also recorded in Moscow and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug.

      The worst unemployment situation is observed in the southern regions — North Ossetia (7.4%), Dagestan (10.9%) and Ingushetia (26%).

      Earlier, pravda-nn.ru reported that builders of the Nizhny Novgorod metro were promised salaries of up to 240,000 rubles.
