      Evgeny Lyulin, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, took part in the ceremonial closing of the All-Russian parachuting competition for the Pomolov Cup.

      "Having decided to take the first step into the sky, upon returning to earth each of us knew that the love of parachuting is now forever! That is why in the four years since the revival of the parachuting competitions for the Pomolov Cup the list of participants has grown, as has the geography on a national scale. Today the final of the competition took place at the Strelka. And it was, I tell you, simply a fantastic sight: a clear sky, parachute canopies opening above the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral — such beauty takes your breath away!" wrote Evgeny Lyulin on his social networks.

      The speaker of the regional parliament took part in the ceremonial closing of the All-Russian parachuting competition for the Cup of honorary citizen of the Nizhny Novgorod Region V.M. Pomolov.

      "Olga Balina, a mother of many children from Krasnodar Krai, dedicated her jump today to her youngest daughter, who is only one year old. The mischievous little girl became her main supporter. She even came out to receive the medal for third place in the individual standings together with her mother. I am sure that the love of the sky and parachuting in this family will be passed down from generation to generation!" said Evgeny Lyulin.

      "The Pomolov Cup brings different people together. Veterans 60+, Masters of Sport of the USSR, performed with dignity. Cadets from Nizhny, Istomino and the Moscow Region fought for victory. This October we will mark the 90th anniversary of Vladimir Pomolov's birth, so the intensity of the competition was special. Nizhny Novgorod athletes ceded their overall lead to other competitors and ultimately won only the silver. The Cup is leaving Nizhny Novgorod for Krasnodar Krai. And I consider that even good. Our athletes will have the incentive to bring it back!" concluded the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
