The second 17-story building on Zhurova Street in Nizhny Novgorod has passed inspection.

      The design of the second residential building within the "Residential Complex on Zhurov" in the Kanavinsky District of Nizhny Novgorod has received a positive conclusion from a non-state expert review. The building will be erected within the boundaries of Mendeleev, Chongarskaya and Zhurov streets, according to the EGRZ.

      The future Building No. 2 will be part of a residential complex consisting of two 17‑storey blocks with 112 apartments. In addition to residential units, the building includes public-use premises and a built‑in kindergarten for 30 children. It should be noted that the first block of the residential complex has already been constructed.

      The project documentation was examined by LLC "Center for Design and Construction Expertise." The project was developed by several organizations: LLC "Architect A.S. Lazarev Design Workshop," LLC "Specmontazh-NN," LLC Design and Technological Enterprise "Krov," LLC "Veles-NN," LLC "Polimerpromproekt," LLC "Electrocity" and LLC "Design Workshop KM-4."

      The developer is LLC "Specialized Developer Volgainvestgrupp." The company won the auction for the right to develop the built-up area within the boundaries of Mendeleev, Iskra, Chongarskaya and Zhurov streets back in 2014. The starting price of the contract was 2,717,000 rubles. The total area of the plot is 1.29 ha.

      The architectural and urban appearance of Building No. 2 was approved in July 2025 by the regional Ministry of Urban Development. According to the project documentation, the land plot area for development is 4,078 sq. m, the building footprint is 674.5 sq. m, and the total building area is 10,759.05 sq. m.

      In addition, as part of the KRT, the district located near the residential complex will also be transformed. In 2023 a development agreement was signed for the area bounded by Pravda, Chongarskaya and Mendeleev streets. It was also reported that a school for 730 pupils will be built in the area of October Revolution, July Days and Chongarskaya streets.
