A fuel oil storage was found near the Nizhny Novgorod cancer clinic. What do the authorities say?

      September 10, 2025, 12:09 [172] The Ministry of Ecology of the Nizhny Novgorod Region will inspect the fuel oil disposal site after reports of the discovery of its storage facility in the area of the oncology dispensary on Delovaya Street. The department told NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" about this.

      The medical institution stated that the territory in question is not related to it. The plot does not belong to the dispensary and is not used in its activities.

      The regional Ministry of Property and Land Relations clarified that a contractor is dismantling a fuel-oil pumping station and an underground tank at the indicated site. The work is being carried out as part of an approved project and must strictly comply with legal requirements.

      The disposal of fuel oil residues is being handled by Biocar LLC, which holds a valid waste management license. Completion of all work is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025.

      Employees of the Ministry of Property have already visited the site. The contractor was instructed to observe safety measures, in particular the mandatory fencing of the area during such work.

      Earlier it was reported that a large-scale survey of the Burnakovskaya lowland, which is considered an area of negative environmental impact, has been completed.
