In the Perevozsky district a shepherd was detained for possession of marijuana. A packet containing a plant-based substance was found in his caravan, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Nizhny Novgorod Oblast reported.
The packet contained almost 29 g of marijuana. The 63-year-old man said he had found a wild hemp bush in a field, dried it and kept it for himself. A criminal case has been opened.
The shepherd is under a written undertaking not to leave.
Earlier, pravda-nn.ru reported that in Nizhny Novgorod police officers detained, in hot pursuit, a man who attacked a woman.
