      In Sarov unknown persons desecrated the grave of a participant in the special military operation. According to the deceased’s relatives, the cross at the cemetery was painted over, and the perpetrators tried to set it on fire. Flags placed on the grave were also torn and flowers were pulled out. The police confirmed that the Municipal Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the closed administrative-territorial formation (ZATO) Sarov is conducting an inquiry based on a statement from the deceased’s relatives. Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident. Earlier it was reported that a criminal case had been opened under the article on desecration of burial sites in Gorodets. There, state flags of Russia disappeared from the graves of participants in the special military operation at the cemetery in the village of Nikolo-Pogosta in the Gorodetsky District.
