A tragedy on the water occurred in the Kstovo district of the Nizhny Novgorod region — a tugboat with barges collided with a rubber boat, resulting in one fatality.
According to the Telegram channel Shot, the incident took place at the 950th kilometer of the navigable section of the Volga River. The tugboat named "Kavkaz" struck an inflatable boat that was not equipped with a motor.
At the time of the collision a man was in the boat and fell overboard. Preliminary information indicates he drowned.
Search operations are ongoing at the scene.
