       Incidents. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, ordered a criminal case to be opened over the brutal beating of an elderly Nizhny Novgorod resident. This was reported by the law enforcement agency's press service. 

      Recall that the horrific incident occurred in the Gorodetsky district. Two teenagers tormented the woman for three days. They shaved her head bald and beat her for a long time while filming it. The victim has fractures to her ribs and legs. She was hospitalized. 

      The police have opened a criminal case, the progress of which is under the supervision of the prosecutor's office. 

      Now a criminal case will also be opened by the regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee. The head of the Nizhny Novgorod department has been ordered to report the results of the investigation directly to Bastrykin. 

      Earlier, the head of the Gorodetsky district, Alexander Mudrov, commented on the incident. It turned out that the family of one of the teenagers has long been under the scrutiny of child welfare authorities.
