Nizhny Novgorod singer and "The Voice" contestant Dmitry Klychkov presented listeners with his new composition, which is dedicated to the heroism of front-line soldiers. The artist posted the premiere on his personal page on VKontakte.
The song is titled "And I Didn't See My Grandfather" and is included in the album "Brother, Hold On!". In it the author pays tribute to the defenders of the Fatherland who, for the future of their families, sacrificed the most precious thing — their own lives.
The music video pays special attention to archival photographs from the performer’s own family album. These shots have become a symbol of both personal and collective memory of the generation of victors.
"Dedicated to our grandfathers and grandmothers. To those who defended the country at the cost of their own lives — the country we today call ours. In which we live, which we are proud of, and for which today we and our children are already responsible. True memory is not words or mourning, but deeds and sincere service to the Motherland — here and now," the song's author wrote on his page.
