      Malefactors have again created a fake account, posing as the governor of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Gleb Nikitin. This was reported by representatives of the regional government's press service.

      The department emphasized that the head of the region does not engage in personal correspondence with unfamiliar users in messaging apps and does not send messages on his behalf.

      Residents of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast are advised to be especially careful, not to engage in dialogue with suspicious accounts, and to block them immediately.

      Previously, scammers had already created fake pages allegedly belonging not only to Gleb Nikitin, but also to the mayor of Nizhny Novgorod, Yuri Shalabaev, and to the chairman of the city duma, Evgeny Chintsov.
